Denied Doping, Spong Syays There Is an Effort to Get Rid of Him from Duel vs Usyk

Tyrone Spong denies doping. The Suriname bloody heavyweight boxer was actually surprised the outsider had exposed himself positively using banned substances. Sponge called it an attempt to rid himself of the duel versus Oleksandr Usyk.

This was confirmed by Promoter Eddie Hearn, who revealed it through social media. “We have contacted VADA to let us know that there were adverse findings in the Tyrone Spong test,” Hearn said. 

However, Spong insisted he did not do that. “This is far-fetched,” Spong told BoxingScene.com. “I strongly deny that I have ever used the substance mentioned in the VADA report.”

“I have requested sample B testing in my chosen laboratory. Tests conducted last week at the request of the Illinois Boxing Commission showed, what I have always known, that I am a clean boxer. “

At the confusion of this situation, Hearn has prepared another opponent for Usyk. Potential candidates to fill in the blanks have not been revealed, despite rumors. -design about at least five heavyweight boxers in line and ready to ride the ring.

Spong received a challenge against Usyk (16-0, 12 KOs) at Wintrust Arena, Chicago, Illinois, USA, Saturday (12/10/2019) local time or Sunday (10/13/2019) morning WIB, after his most recent win, won KO in the second round of Jeyson Minda on August 31 in Merida, Mexico.

Before that, Usyk, who won the 2018 Fighter of the Year title, planned to make a heavyweight debut against Takam on May 25, but it was canceled because Usyk suffered a torn biceps that made him rest for eight weeks.

After fully recovering, the fight was rescheduled against Takam. But, canceled again because Takam resigned after signing a contract with Star Boxing and wanted to take his career in another direction. Then, the name Spong appears.
