The fight of UFC 244 ended when the doctor understood that Nate Díaz could not continue fighting Jorge Masvidal. Dana White said:

 

“Obviously, when you organize such a big event, you want a spectacular ending. And it was a good event, it was a good fight, these things happen. But if this fight were in Las Vegas, it would have continued. I thought: ‘Come on, they didn’t stop Tyson Fury’s fight!’ I thought the fight should have continued.

“But, on the other hand, then he went to see Nate Díaz and had a fatal eyebrow. I am sitting in my comfortable chair near the octagon watching the event. So I guess it did have to stop.
