In June of this year, Alexander Gustafsson decided to end his career as a professional fighter after losing to Anthony Smith in his native country.
It was not long before The Mauler ”confessed that he was interested in returning to the Octagon and that is why he was interested in returning little by little.
Therefore he accepted a grappling match in an MMA promoter, which he owns, to improve aspects that played against him as a mixed martial arts fighter.
As usual, no debut or return is confirmed until the UFC boss speaks. Dana White commented on Gustafsson’s return to the company and said there was already an approach from them.
“We definitely talk to him and he definitely wants to fight again, but so far, we don’t have a when.”
Gustafson, 32, closed his cycle at the UFC with two losses against Jon Jones and Anthony Smith. Do you think “The Muler” should leave retirement?
