Conte Ensures Inter Will Not Park Buses at Camp Nou

Inter Milan promises an interesting fight when they travel to Camp Nou, Barcelona. Coach Antonio Conte has confirmed that he will not implement the bus parking strategy on the second matchday of the Champions League Group F on Thursday (10/10/2019).

This fight promises a fierce battle considering the two teams have not won. Barcelona in the first game had to settle for playing goalless while visiting Borussia Dortmund. While Inter failed to take advantage of a home game after being held by Slavia Prague 1-1.

Although the opportunity to bring home points is very heavy, Conte is still optimistic. The trick, Conte will ask Inter players to control the ball as much as possible as long as possible. If that happens, Inter will get something from this match.

“The result must be a consequence of what we are going to do. When I talk about steps forward, I mean that we have to play with courage and a desire to maintain possession,” Conte said in Marca, Wednesday (2/10/2019).

“If we do this, we can get good results. I prefer matches with the right performance; that we do things well and then the best team wins. I don’t want to come here to survive.”

Unfortunately in the match later, Romelu Lukaku could not be displayed. Conte confirmed that the Belgian player suffered minor injuries. “My wound won’t be there because he has problems in his quadriceps. He keeps complaining about this disorder and we have done several tests. We prefer not to take risks because he has had this problem for 10 days,” Conte said.

Even without Lukaku, Conte felt that this would not weaken Inter’s game. “We have to play an intense game with a good tempo and do what we know how to do it against a team that can score at any time. At the same time, we have to think that our development comes with this game, against the top teams “It won’t be easy because it’s Barcelona. But we want to show that we are on the right track.”
