Real Madrid reportedly rejected several offers from other clubs to loan attacking midfielder James Rodriguez in the January transfer window.

Speculation about James’ future has indeed been a conversation for months. The Colombian midfielder has no place in the Real Madrid squad.

After undergoing a loan spell at Bayern Munich, James returned to Real Madrid last summer. But until now he only played in 10 matches in all competitions.

The situation that James is experiencing in the Real Madrid squad makes his name associated with several top European clubs, ranging from Everton to Napoli.

However, Marca says that Real Madrid is now not at all interested in loaning James to another club this January.

Real Madrid reportedly only willing to release James with permanent status. However, this has met an obstacle because interested clubs will step down if they see James’s official tag which is quite expensive.
