Mattia Perin’s winter transfer window was used to leave Juventus. The 27-year-old goalkeeper officially joins Genoa after failing to get first place in the Old Lady squad .
Through its official website, Juventus announced that Mattia Perin will join his old club, Genoa, this weekend. Although not specifying the status of Perin’s move, several media in Italy said the goalkeeper left with the status of the loan player.
Mattia Perin said he was happy to be back at his old club. He also can not wait to regain confidence as the main goalkeeper in Serie A.
“This is a challenge, a feeling of belonging, love for this city, love for the jersey where I made my debut in Serie A,” said Mattia Perin.
Perin’s return to Genoa made him reunite with several players who had not yet moved. Among them were Mimmo Criscito, Stefano Sturaro, Goran Pandev and Davide Biraschi.
