Tyson Fury predicts that Billy Joe Saunders will triumph over Canelo Alvarez.  Further, their unification clash occurs on Saturday, May 8.

Incidentally, The Gypsy King is an old friend of Saunders. He has no doubts that Billy will be able to dispatch the Mexican and unify the division. Moreover, Saunders looks to be in fantastic shape after what looks like a grueling training camp.

“Billy Joe Saunders is 100% mentally in the right place,” writes Fury. “He knows what he has to do, and he will do it.” According to Fury, Billy will surely ‘dominate’ Alvarez.

“He will rise above and claim greatness. I was written off many times in the past and have always come through”. Fury insists that he and Saunders have overcome similar struggles and that he expects Saunders to accomplish great things, just like him.

Moreover, Fury also gave his respects to Canelo. He recognizes the work of Alvarez as the pound-for-pound king. “Canelo has fought them all but never a Fighting Gypsy, we are a different breed of animal to anything he has come across before”.

Even boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn recognizes the importance of the fight and has called it “the best fight of 2021 so far”. “70,000 fans at the AT&T Stadium for a Cinco De Mayo party. I cannot wait for this,” added Hearn.
