Jake Paul’s Reaction on “palming face” is a Win for Ben Askren laughs Daniel Cormier

Celebrity boxing fight contenders Ben Askren and Jake Paul met at the Triller Fight Club press conference where Askren facepalmed Paul. The fellow MMA fighters found this hilarious, and Daniel Cormier saw this as a win for the Funky.

Although Paul and Askren were supposed to be separated by plexiglass per COVID-19 protocols, the YouTuber did not obey any of the Covid-19 health protection rules. It was the first press conference before the fight, which will take place on April 17.

At the Triller press conference on March 26, Paul got right in Askren’s face and talked trash. Although Askren was behind the plexiglass initially, he came out of it for photography.

While the 24-year-old talking trash, Askren just stared at him and then facepalmed him and walked away. Furthermore, this escalated so quickly that Paul did not get a chance to do anything except shove with his opponent’s back turned.

Daniel Cormier watched Paul’s reaction on TV, and thinks Ben will win the fight. Cormier tweeted, “I just saw Jake Paul reaction to @Benaskren palming his face and I am now convinced that Ben wins.”

After watching Paul’s attitude throughout the conference, DC thinks Ben wanted to smash the Problem Kid. Cormier also wrote, “He looked like he wanted to throw a punch and then settled on slapping his ass? Ben smashes this dude. I’m all the way in!!!!”

Who is going to win between Ben Askren and Jake Paul

Both Paul and Askren are not much familiar with boxing. While Paul is a YouTube, Ben has much more combat sports experience but as a wrestler and mixed martial artist. Askren has never fought any boxing fight, which is why he has been training with legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach.

On the other hand, Paul had two boxing bouts last year over YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA All-Star Nate Robinson. And he won both of them. After that, he challenged several MMA fighters, including Nate Diaz, Conor McGregor, Ben Askren, and Dillon Danis.

Further, Askren took the challenge and came out from his UFC retirement to teach Paul a lesson. Considering the fighting experience, the former Bellator champion Askren will certainly have advantages over the YouTuber.
