Dustin Poirier Urges to See Jake Paul vs Mike Pierry Match up After Watching Ben Askren’s KO fall

Dustin Poirier feels that a Jake Paul Vs Mike Perry fight should happen. ‘The Diamond’ took to Twitter to suggest a potential boxing fight between the ‘Platinum’ and ‘The Problem Child’.

Mike Perry and Jake have sparred before. In a ‘no cameras’ sparring event, Perry’s intentions were to brush up his boxing skills. However, Jake allegedly began releasing clips where Perry tells Jake that he ‘kicked his ass’ during their session.

Since Paul posted the video with the words coming out of Perry’s mouth, it was hard for “Platinum” to deny that it happened. Instead, Perry embraced what Paul had tweeted.

Recently, Jake Paul defeated Ben Askren in their boxing match. Jake was able to score a knockdown on Ben Askren, who promptly got up to his feet only for the referee to halt the contest. As a result, Jake won the fight in the first round.

However, several people pointed out that it was not a ‘real ‘ victory as Askren is a retired MMA fighter. Ben was one of the weakest strikers in the MMA. Moreover, he is nothing even remotely close to a boxer.

Soon after the fight, many fighters like Dillon Danis and Tyron Woodley called out Jake Paul. They emphasized that Jake needs to fight an ‘active’ fighter that can actually strike.

Will Jake Paul fight Mike Perry?

Jake Paul will need to fight a stronger opponent next. Whilst Askren was a step up from fighting YouTubers and Ex-NBA players, he has to further increase his level. However, he needs to be cautious as well and not pick someone who could be a serious threat.

Hence, Mike Perry fits the bill. He’s better than Askren, he’s active and they have sparred before with Jake claiming he ‘easily’ beat him. As a result, Perry sits somewhere around the middle, which is why he’s an ideal opponent.

Moreover, Perry will have some vengeance on his mind after Paul publicly humiliated him. Whilst Perry claims he did well against Jake, the only evidence from their sparring session speaks otherwise. As such, it seems like an interesting opportunity that Jake will certainly be tempted to explore.
