Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been a crucial part of Arsenal since joining the club back in 2018. In just three years, he has proved his worth to the club and is the current captain of the team. However, the 31-year-old striker is not having the best of his seasons this year.
In 20 games he has scored just 8 goals and 3 of them came against Leeds in their last game. It appears as if Aubameyang’s troubles are not ending anytime soon. The Gunners’ striker recently got a new tattoo on his hand.
He shared an Instagram video of the same, but the same video got him in trouble. Apparently, he violated the COVID-19 protocols for getting the tattoo done on his hand.
Arsenal captain Aubameyang could face heavy consequences in future
Following the video going viral, Auba was issued a warning by his club. According to a report by “The Guardian”, an Arsenal spokesperson said:
“We will speak to the player to remind him of his responsibilities and establish what has taken place.”
This is not the first time the striker has left the Coronavirus “Bubble” as he was permitted by the team to visit his sick mother back in January. However, things are different this time around. Last time, it was a family emergency so he was allowed to leave.
But this time, he allegedly broke the Bubble to get a new tattoo. In case his tests come back positive, it could mean trouble for him and the team. The Gunners haven’t been in terrific form this year as they are just 10th in the league.
If Aubameyang is sidelined for a few weeks, they could slip further down. But what do you think? How will this turn out? Let us know your views in the comments section down below.
