Novak Djokovic won his hot rivalry over Rafael Nadal by bringing Serbia into the history of the inaugural ATP Cup winners.

Djokovic became a hero after pairing up in a double sector with Viktor Troicki ensuring Serbia’s 2-1 victory over Spain in the final on Sunday (12/1).

Duet Djokovic/Troicki appeared compact when ending the Spanish double resistance, Pablo Carreno Busta / Feliciano Lopez in two sets 6-3, 6-4 at the Ken Rosewall Arena, Sydney, Australia.

The victory ensured Serbia were 2-1 ahead. When playing in the second single, Djokovic equalized the score 1-1 by bulldozing Nadal in only two sets 6-2, 7-6 (4).

The Matador team was able to open hope after Roberto Bautista Agut beat Dusan Lajovic through winning two sets 7-5, 6-1. With that victory, Bautista Agut always contributed points to Spain. As for Nadal, it was the second defeat in the ATP Cup.
