Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane feels his team should win El Debi against Atletico Madrid
Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane feels his team has done enough to win the El Derbi match against Atletico Madrid. Zidane saw the opportunity for his team to be more open to score goals in the match that took place at Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday (9/29/2019) at dawn.
The opportunity referred to by Zidane occurred through the action of Karim Benzema. Unfortunately, the head of the French player’s head was still able to be blocked by goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Despite being able to accept the final result, Zidane still regretted the wasted opportunity. “We deserve more, but all I have to do is congratulate the players because we are back in a compact appearance and get a clean sheet,” Zidane said after the match was quoted by Goal.
“It’s not just a matter of intensity, but the most important is our strength. We saw a strong team from Madrid in this match, because we were not attacked much. We lack creativity, but we are happy with what we are doing.”
While commenting on Eden Hazard’s game, Zidane said that the Belgian player needs to deal with it for much longer. In that match, Hazard could not yet display his best action and was pulled out in the 77th minute and replaced by James Rodriguez.
“He hasn’t been able to maximize. We must continue to support it. He has performed well, but we don’t have many opportunities. We must emphasize the work of all players. We want him to score a goal because it will make him forget the pressure a bit, but there is no problem, we are sure it will come.”
