Granite Xhaka became an important part when Arsenal won a dramatic victory against Aston Villa. But fans continued to taunt Xhaka.
Appearing as a starter in the match counter Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, London, Sunday (09/22/2019) Xhaka continues to get scorn from the fans. Not only in the field, but social media is also flooded with ridicule for the captain.
Most Arsenal fans rate Xhaka not playing well. His appearance was considered declining, but Arsenal coach Unai Emery continued to defend him.
“Xhaka is a very important player. He has a big commitment and is getting better. I am not asking anyone to support him, but I am sure he will achieve the best if supporters help him,” Unai Emery was quoted as saying on Arsenal’s official website.
In that match, Xhaka didn’t play full. In the 71st minute, when Arsenal were still 1-2 behind Aston Villa, Xhaka was pulled out and replaced by Joe Willock. After that change London Cannon scored two goals at once to lock in the victory to be 3-2.
