“I have not lost spirit or fire in my stomach,” Joshua said of the defeat of Ruiz Jr. earlier this year. “I am full of confidence and no fear in my eyes, or my mind,” Joshua said. “I have not lost any commitment.”

Ruiz Jr. came wearing an NBA basketball club jersey, the New York Knicks, the same clothes he wore on the night of his famous victory in their first fight six months ago in New York, United States.

At the pre-battle press conference when they first met, Joshua was very cheerful. He let Ruiz Jr., who was a challenger, hold the championship belt. A few days later, Ruiz Jr. took it permanently to become champion.

The current situation turned with Joshua being a challenger. This time Joshua is much stronger and says: “You always need a challenger’s mindset. I say that with a belt around my waist.”

This British boxer is much quieter this time. He just tried to focus himself ahead of the crucial duel in his career. “Hungry, determination, focus on the goal, ” he said.

“It will be a great moment (if he wins)? Not because I know I deserve to be there. “When I regain the championship belt, I will remain calm, and maintain the challenger’s mindset and move to the next target,” he said.

Ruiz Jr., who holds the IBF, WBA and WBO championship belts, responded to the mind war launched by Joshua.

“AJ will come up with a different game plan and I know he is ready, so I will be more careful,” he said.

“I don’t want to let this championship belt go. Now that I have finally made my dreams come true, there is no way I will let them go, “he said.
