Andy Murray Withdraws From Dubai Championship to Welcome His Fourth Child

Two-time Wimbledon champion, Andy Murray has withdrawn his participation from Dubai Tennis Championships. The reason behind the withdrawal was to welcome a new member into the family. The former World No. 1 and his wife Kim Sears gave birth to their fourth child. However, the couple kept the news private and yet not revealed whether it was a son or a daughter.

Andy Murray cherished his family time during Quarantine

In an interview, Murray said that the pandemic was tough for everyone but one should not neglect the opportunity for us- the family time. Adding to that, he accepted his inability to provide time to his family because of his job and the traveling part that comes with it.

Above all, the time engaged in teaching the children is nice and challenging according to the Brit. Previously, it was tough, but gradually it became a part of our daily life that we adored. Despite the difficulties, the moment shared with them were extraordinary. Further, he acknowledged the pandemic has given us all a chance to make memories that can be admired later.

It’s been hard, but I’ve enjoyed large parts of it. It’s been quite special to have time with my family,said Murray.

Murray has always been a family man, as in an interview with The Times, his words purely reflected the importance his family holds in his life.

At the time coronavirus started I was rehabbing, and I was actually fine missing tennis because everybody else was missing it as well. I just got to spend lots of time with my family at home,” said the Brit.

The couple prefers to live a private life; so, Stuart Fraser, a tennis correspondent on his Twitter handle, shared the delightful news.
