Andrea Iannone
Andrea Iannone responded to the sentence imposed by FIM regarding his doping test. The Aprilia rider claimed not to have received official notification.
FIM recently announced a sentence for Iannone. The reason is the discovery of banned substances in Iannone urine samples taken at the Malaysian MotoGP.
Iannone was also sanctioned in the form of a ban on participating in any motor racing competition until further notice.
Iannone, who is under contract with Aprilia for MotoGP 2020, responded to the sentence. Although surprised, the Italian rider believes he is innocent.
“I am completely relaxed and I want to convince my fans and Aprilia Racing,” Iannone wrote on his social media account as reported by Crash.
“I am open to counter analysis on issues that surprise me, also because – at this time – I have not received any official communication.”
“Over the years, and also this season, I have passed the test continuously, obviously it always proves to be negative, that’s why I have confidence in the positive decisions of this issue,” he said.
