Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is completely confused by the absence of strikers. The loss of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez has a big impact on the achievements of the Red Devils this season.

Starting the 2019/22020 season United stumbled on the board. Among the top clubs in the English Premier League, United are still lumbering in eleventh place. United’s management is targeting Solskjaer to become a champion this season.

For this condition, Solskjaer did not dare to set high results per match, including when his team entertains Arsenal at Old Trafford, Tuesday (10/01/2019) in the early morning. Looking for a new striker in the market in January will be Solskjaer’s choice to revive United’s prestige.

Several names such as Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala reportedly entered the radar including Jadon Sancho and Athletic Bilbao star Inaki Williams. Moussa Dembele from Lyon has also been linked with United as well as Leicester’s James Maddison.

“We are letting Alexis and Romelu go, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that it’s advanced that next time we will recruit,” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

“We are looking for some players who are full of creativity and goal-hungry. There is no point in getting players where you are not 100 percent sure. When you enter the players, you need the right players who will stay here for a longer period and that is the term thinking the length we have to show, “said Solskjaer.

“I can’t think, ‘I need a player because this is my reputation’. No, this is a club requirement. There are many strikers outside the season, but they are not what we want. We cannot get what we want.”

While United are struggling to get a new bang, Lukaku instead shines at Inter. Three goals have been contributed by players from Belgium, one of which when beating AC Milan.

Do you regret Solskjaer releasing Lukaku? “It’s time for Lukaku to leave. He knows that. He doesn’t want to be here. What’s the point of having a player who doesn’t want to be here?”
