Marc Marquez will change his racing habits when he starts racing at the Aragon Grand Prix on Sunday
Marc Marquez will change his racing habits when he starts racing at the Aragon Grand Prix on Sunday (9/22/2019) evening hrs. The change in question is related to the strategy that will be applied by the Repsol Honda team driver while paving the track along the 5 km.
At Aragon, Marquez started the MotoGP series 14 race this season from pole position. He will be overshadowed by several other top racers such as Fabio Quartararo and Maverick Vinales. In the second row is occupied by Jack Miller – 5. Aleix Espargaro, and Valentino Rossi.
Seeing the situation Marquez stressed that he would step on the gas when the green light was on. This is done to avoid the pressure that will be given by other drivers. Moreover, the Yamaha duo stuck in second and third positions.
Quartararo is a driver to watch out for. Although he only appeared in the main MotoGP class, he was able to provide fierce resistance to Marquez. Just look at when he dueled with The Baby Alien in Misano last week.
Marquez, who was behind him, seemed to be having difficulty overtaking Quartararo. Luckily, he had the momentum to overtake the Yamaha satellite team jockey and managed to touch the finish line first.
Thanks to that experience Marquez was reluctant to underestimate the Yamaha racer when he appeared in his ‘playground’. Especially now that the five-time MotoGP world champion is aiming for four consecutive wins at the Aragon Circuit.
“It depends on the circuit. At Misano, Fabio and Yamaha’s riders have a better speed than me it seems they can make the good times easier. And here (Aragon), it seems the opposite. So at Misano, it’s easier to follow because “Fabio has a step, but it’s time to attack upfront,” Marquez was quoted as saying from Paddock-GP.
“Because if I don’t attack from the start, I will have a large group upfront. We will see what happens, but that does not mean that I will attack from the first lap. I need to know the conditions of the track, the weather and my feelings on the motorcycle. And go step by step: no need to make a big gap from the start. We will see if we can, “concluded Marquez.
