Pierre Emerick Aubameyang had a disappointing start to the 2020/21 Premier League season that commenced on September 12th, 2020.
Aubameyang has struggled to find his form from his second season (2018-19) at Arsenal. In that year,” Aubameyang managed to win the golden boot alongside Liverpool stars Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane.”
On February 14th, 2020, Aubameyang found remnants of his old form and helped his team annihilate a resurgent Leeds United team at the Emirates Stadium.
Aubameyang was the first (thirteenth minute) and last (forty-seventh minute) to contribute as the Gunners beat Leeds, who previously held the gunners to a nil-nil draw Elland Road.
Midfielders Granit Xhaka, Martin Odegaard, Emile Smith Rowe, and Bukayo Saka were instrumental in securing a Gunners victory.
Aubameyang produced another goal as well, courtesy of a penalty call that was made. He buried the ball at the back of the net in the forty-first minute.
Full-back Hector Bellerin silenced his critics after a beautiful set of passes with Dani Ceballos resulted in the ball whooshing past Leeds United keeper Messier at the forty-fifth minute.
Leeds United made a comeback with Pascal Strujik and Helder Costa getting on the scoresheet (fifty-eighth and sixty-ninth minute). This ruined Arsenal’s chances at getting a clean sheet at the Emirates Stadium. However, the match ended on a positive for Arsenal despite the struggle they had to face at the end of it.
The full-time result showed four-two in Arsenal’s favor.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal repented for their string of bad performances with a win over Leeds United as Manchester United and West Brom clashed to leave a stalemate at the Hawthorn stadium.
Aubameyang and Arsenal rejoice as Manchester United and West Brom salvage a point each at The Hawthorns stadium
Manchester United had such vigor when they arrived at the Hawthorn stadium. However, it was all lost after West Brom striker Mbaye Diang scored in the second minute of the game.
The Hawthorns was determined to steal a win from the Red Devils. Nevertheless, their lack of ball possession highlighted their weaknesses.
Therefore Manchester United was finally able to pull a goal back via their new number ten Bruno Fernandes at the forty-fourth minute.
The game was afoot once again. Both sides scrambled for the winning goal and the prize of three points. But alas! None had the determination to make that happen.
But Alas! the results of the Premier League are too hard to predict for anyone.
